Bueno, nunca ha habido un "momento más feliz" en mi vida porque la felicidad va y viene regularmente.
Aun así, hay momentos en que te sientes realmente orgulloso de quién eres.
Había un paciente, por ejemplo.
Solo 27 años.
Era un gran bebedor que necesitaba cirugía de derivación debido a varios bloqueos en sus arterias coronarias (arterias cardíacas).
Su corazón se estaba deteriorando, por lo que la cirugía fue necesaria de inmediato. Sin embargo, tenía un aneurisma aórtico.
En términos simples, un aneurisma aórtico es un bulto en una de las principales arterias que transportan sangre a nuestro tórax y torso.
El problema con estos es que una vez que alcanzan un cierto diámetro, pueden romperse en cualquier momento debido a una variedad de circunstancias, la más común de las cuales es la presión arterial alta.
Que exactamente fue el caso en la sala de operaciones!!
(En la mayoría de los casos, la cirugía de aneurisma aórtico debe ser lo primero, pero su afección cardíaca era tan pobre que necesitaba un CABG de emergencia o morir.) La escena fue divertida de manera negativa.
Cuando estalló la arteria, se derramó sangre en cada rincón y grieta del AT. La cara de todos estaba pintada de rojo brillante, incluso la mía, el cirujano mayor.
La presión arterial comenzó a caer.
Se recetaron ionotropos (medicamentos para aumentar la presión arterial) a dosis completas, pero esto fue arriesgado porque podría elevar la presión arterial nuevamente, causando hemorragia arterial importante.
Estaba a punto de fallecer. Porque el juego está terminado si el cerebro no recibe sangre!
En momentos críticos como este, el cerebro es el primer órgano en fallar. Debido a su rápido metabolismo, puede perecer en segundos si no obtiene suficiente sangre. Pero había un problema: el cerebro no estaba recibiendo suficiente sangre. Había dos opciones para nosotros.

Fue dado de alta dos días después de eso. Nos prometió que nunca volvería a beber...!! Estar en esta línea de trabajo puede ser agotador a veces. Literalmente estamos ayudando a salvar la vida de alguien. La gente ahorra para uno durante varios años. Diariamente, los salvamos.Sin embargo, el disfrute desaparece cuando se nos pagan salarios que son insignificantes en contraste con el trabajo que hacemos, así como los arrebatos de los familiares, padres y hombres de Dios de los pacientes que declaran que su producto curará todo.

Well, there has never been a “happiest moment” in my life because happiness comes and goes on a regular basis.
Even so, there are times when you feel truly proud of who you are.

(In most cases, the aortic aneurysm surgery should come first, but his heart condition was so poor that he needed an emergency CABG or die.)
The scene was amusing in a negative manner.

When the artery burst, blood poured into every nook and cranny of the OT. Everyone's face was painted brilliant red, even mine, the senior surgeon and then the blood pressure began to fall.

Ionotropes (blood pressure-raising drugs) were prescribed at full dose, but this was risky because it could raise blood pressure again, causing major arterial hemorrhage.
He was on the verge of passing away. Because the game is finished if the brain does not receive blood!

In critical moments like this, the brain is the first organ to fail. Because of its fast metabolism, it can perish in seconds if it doesn't get enough blood.
But there was a problem: the brain wasn't getting enough blood.
There were two choices for us:
Restore cerebral blood flow, which would only be achievable after we operated on the damaged aorta, which may take up to 30 minutes. As a result, it was not possible at the time.
Lower your metabolic rate. This is where treatment enters the picture. The blood is chilled to a specific temperature, causing the brain's metabolism to slow down and requiring less blood to stay alive.
The procedure is known as COLD ARREST HYPOTHERMIA THERAPY...!! Very creative and beneficial.

In any case, his aorta was repaired surgically, and he was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) following the procedure.
He was discharged two days after that. He promised us that he would never drink again...!! Being in this line of work can be exhausting at times. We're literally helping to save someone's life. People save for one for several years. On a daily basis, we save them. However, enjoyment disappears when we are paid salaries that are insignificant in contrast to the job we do, as well as outbursts from patients' relatives, parents, and godmen who declare that their product will cure everything!
