HHello, my ladies of the hive, how is the week going?
I love traveling a lot; visiting different places is what gives me joy, especially traveling to where I have never been before, just so I can create memories. But the real banger is when you travel with friends or family who love adventure like you.
I can tell you the feelings from the moment you start packing your baggage to travel and up till the time of the travel, there is always an unending excitement in the air. When you finally start the journey, the banter, the jokes, and sharing of snacks.Taking funny pictures of people who are sleeping, maybe in a funny way with stickers to make it fun.
I remember when my cousin wanted to have her church wedding, and it happened to be out of state. It was a 9-hours drive from the current state to where she and her future husband reside. So we had to leave early to ensure we wouldn't arrive late.
We all slept in the same house, both my family and her friends who were going with us to witness the joining. Very early that morning, as the first cock crowed, everybody woke up, prepared, and moved down to the park. We had already hired a full bus.
On our way, we were all discussing how we were going to shut down the after party of the wedding, so they would know that Port Harcourt ladies had arrived. The driver stopped at an eatery for us to eat, but we just went down to use the restroom. Who needs eatery food when we have already prepared sumptuous jollof rice and peppered meat for the journey?. We even gave the food, the drink, and the homemade hibiscus drink fondly called (Zobo) to the driver too.
After everybody had eaten to their fill, we started playing different games: truth or dare, betting on who would fall asleep first if we decided to be quiet for like 30 minutes, who would be the last to sleep, and who wouldn't sleep at all. We all bet five thousand each, saying that we wouldn't sleep.
The person who was chanting 'let's bet twenty thousand instead' fell asleep first. Guess who didn't sleep at all? Yes, your guess is right. It was me. What they forgot is that I am a traveler who loves capturing every beautiful moment on the road, so how can I sleep? It's just a nine-hours journey, not like it was a full day. Well, I took them pictures to prove my winnings.
It was absolutely funny, so I love traveling with family or friends so I can share silly moments and inside jokes. Traveling with friends and family can strengthen bonds and create lifelong memories. So I can have people to rely on when navigating new places.
