It is good to be patient in whatever you are doing. But in some cases, settling for the course you went for would be the best because you might not be given that course of your choice. This has happened to my colleague. She waited for years and after waiting for about four years, she decided to go for another course which was not her area of study. It can happen this way. So, it might be a blessing to have gone for that course.
