The People

( Sorry Don't really take pictures when I go out with people. So I do not have much. That's my friend we met at Osaka Umeda Station ) Will definitely take pictures of people more

Just like any other places in the world people in different places tend to have different personalities, driven by the environment and culture. Same goes with Osaka people.
I have Japanese friends from Osaka since the city I am living in is also near Osaka. When asked about the differences between Tokyo people and Osaka people, they would always say that "People in Tokyo are very serious", well I only asked a couple, It's not a survey tho, just drunk conversations. 😅
But years living here I can confirm that people in Osaka is certainly different than people in Tokyo, personality wise. If you want to make friends and vibe with other people when you visit Japan then Osaka will definitely suit you, Osaka people tend to be more carefree rather than the typical shy and conservative kind of vibe that most people expect from Japan.
Osaka is quite unique. Since people tend to be more outgoing, so talking to them is much easier and also most people from Osaka tend to have basic English knowledge since there are quite a lot of foreigners there going in and out.
And if you want to PARTEEE, then you can never go wrong with Osaka.
I experienced that a couple of times, and every time I'm the one who taps out, and I'm from the Philippines! PARTYING is our culture for the love of god!
But at the same time, since people are so carefree there are a lot of small crimes, like not following traffic lights, littering etc. petty crimes to be exact.
But.... I do think this is somewhat good...., I guess.
Wait2x! hear me out.....
As you live in Japan you tend to notice the social issues about human relationships. As a human we cannot live alone, that's a FACT. It is in our genes that we need other people to survive, just like a herd.
Some people tend to be soo closed and build fences from other people and in time their worries and problems will eat them up. One of the most modern and advanced nation in the world but still has a severe suicide problem.
So it is alright to let loose once in a while and just be more carefree like Osaka people do.

The City

*First of all I apologize about the watermark. I just got my phone that time and I didn't know how to remove the damn thing. But yeah, I am using a gaming phone. *😆

Indeed Osaka culture is really vibrant. By vibrant I mean it looks more fun and carefree, that you get mesmerized by how colorful and diverse the streets are. On busy streets, any direction you look is never a dull scene.
You can definitely do a lot of stuff in the city proper coz it is indeed a very modern city, most of people know that. But on the other it also has beautiful nature, (woooah really??? But Osaka is a big city! blah blah blah), yeah get those kind of reactions when I tell them. But it really does have a lot of instagramable naturey places, you just need to know where to look!
For one thing, Osaka is not as busy and not as urban as Tokyo and not as populated as well. So you will find a good place to relax with nature just a few minutes of commuting time.

So you can get the best of both urban and rural feels in the city. All you need to know is where exactly. Because most of the things that are commercialized in Osaka are in the buzzing city side, So better do some advance research and try exploring the country side of Osaka. Or better, make a friend from Osaka, and then ask him/her to tour you around.

The FOOOOOOD

Yup this is definitely my favorite topic.
Just like Tokyo restaurants in Osaka is very diverse, from east Asian food to Western delicacies. So what makes Osaka stand out to me? Well it's definitely their street food.
Just a heads up, street food is not that common in Japan, it ain't a THING! I mean they just do not have that kind of Asian culture. Personally I do not know the reason, maybe because of cleanliness issues or something. Kind of a bit of a downer for me, coz I love street food.
But don't be discouraged. Although you won't be able to just walk around and pass by one in particular, just like other Asian countries.
There are indeed designated places that sells them.

Also if you are lucky and there is festival near you. They also put out stalls that sells street food.

Just as shown above. I apologize I do not have a lot of pictures of food and food places, For the recorded I did not know I will start blogging so I often do not take pictures of the food when I go out, Just to savor the moment you know.
Now for the STAR of the show, the thing that makes Osaka street food the best for me and will always be in my heart is because of Takoyaki!! TAKOYAKI!

Just know I will be really biased with this because Takoyaki is my favorite Japanese food.
They have the best takoyaki I have ever had, being a takoyaki enthusiast. If that's a thing, which I know is definitely not. But hey! I'm passionate about this. 😅. Also some places you can actually cook your own takoyaki.

Yeah we end up not doing a very good job, but it was still good though.

There is soo much more stuff I would like to talk about regarding Osaka, but sadly I do not have the photos. Also I do not want my readers to be dragged on too much with my blogs.
