Hello guys,I once wrote on the "my visit to psychiatric hospital" because our program is still on going,we were spilt into various departments and groups, everyday,so to have different encounter, ideas and experience. I and my group were posted to the female ward,we were asked to pick a patient file,so to study the patient illness, diagnosis, family history, treatment plan and well-being of the patient which we have pick and interact with them,to see their responses and cooperation. While we were going on with the procedure,we noticed a lady on chains. The lady seems quite and she was at then sleep. When I pick her file and started calling her name,she did not respond to the call. I decided to leave her alone,thou at then she wasn't sleeping yet. When the nurse on duty came to administer drugs to the patient,the nurse noticed she hasn't taking her bath,so she was asked to go and take her bath after administry the drugs to her. She obeyed and went on to take her bath and even washed her clothes. When all that were done,she requested she wanted to spread the washed clothes and the nurse on duty grandes her the permission to do so. After she finished spreading clothes,this lady in question ran away, on know to us what has went wrong, another nurse in the male ward,saw her running allotted us on the situation on ground. We were asked to go after her. This lady kept on running almost an hour 馃槃馃槃馃槃馃槃. She headed to the emergency department,she told them she wanted to check her blood pressure and she was checked,we were thinking she was going to come back to ward after she's done, immediately she was done,she ran again 馃様馃様. She headed to the entrance of the psychiatric hospital. The security and other staff had to join us to get her. It was indeed an experience,I will never forget this experience. When she was asked why she ran,she told us she wanted to go house to her husband and pupils (she is a teacher). I don't really have a picture of the experience, because we were asked never to take pictures of the patient,but this is my self in my uniform.
