I listen to such a wide range of music that I think Spotify often cant keep up and sometimes offers me some very strange and oddball music. I listen to anything from thrash metal (Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth) to electro swing (Parov Stelar, Swingrowers) to dance and drum n bass (Pendulum, Wilkinson, Netsky), and anything inbetween!

Spotufy has recognised my diverse taste in music and has created 6 daily mixes for me (making sure to cover all their bases!). Upon listening I have made some great discoveries that I thought I would share with you all - and also let you know that Spotify isnt broken (I have a debate with friends who hate Spotify and say it doenst offer the best recommendations.

Ziggy Albert

Dunno how I havent heard of this guy, he is an Australian singer/songwriter who sings songs in a bluesy, folk type of sounds - his voice is brilliant. If you are a fan of artists such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper or Donovan Frankenreiter then im sure you will love Ziggy Albert. He has 3 albums and the one I have fallen in love with is "Land and Sea" which was released in 2014. Here is the catchy tune "Gone (The Pocahontas Song):

John Butler Trio

I am well aware of who John Butler Trio are, and loved one of their older albums "Sunrise over Sea". However, when listening to my new mix I came across a song I loved, and it turned out to be from their new album "Home", released in 2018. The album has a similar roots/rock feel, but has a bit more emotion and is a bit more raw sounding. A brilliant album and highly recommended! Heres the song "Tell me Why", with a nice soul feel to it:

Well done Spotify! I have a renewed sense of trust and will stand by your side (for now - something better might come along!). ANY music recommendations are welcome!

Peace out
