As I wrote in a previous blog I have recently started running. As I have started running my interest in dance and drum n bass music has increased - I find it gets me motivated to keep running! In the past, my standards were Pendulum and Skrillex, but my tastes have expanded and thought I would share some of my new finds today.
Netsky
I stumbled upon Netsky recently and love his music - he is a Belgian musician and producer who specializes in dance and drum n bass music. Along with being a prominent DJ and producer, remixing many other artists songs, Netsky has released three original albums. My favorite is the first album which is self-titled, as it is a bit more 'raw' than his newer music. Anyway here is the aptly named track 'Work it out' - it has a really great music video aswell!
Wilkinson
Wilkinson has been popular in the UK Dj scene for a few years, producing and remixing music from many different artists. He recently released his second album 'Hypnotic', which I love! His most known song is probably the catchy tune 'Afterglow', but today I thought I would share something different, so here is the song 'Sweet Lies':
High Contrast
If you are looking for something a bit more varied, then I highly recommend High Contrast. Although some of the music is drum n bass I find it a bit more varied, with some more upbeat and singalong type anthems. High Contrast have 6 albums and so a lot of music to choose from. I admit I haven't listened to all of their albums yet, but have really enjoyed the albums 'Tough Guys Don't Dance' and the newest album 'Night Gallery'. I couldn't find an extensive back catalog on Youtube, but found the groovy tune 'Everything's different':
Let me know what you think and if you have any other recommendations!
