Viktor, it is an old portrait that he had tried to paint over a year ago, it shows a tired man, perhaps a former soldier, sitting by a window wearing a heavy coat and a black Ushanka covering his head, with a look deep that denotes enough loneliness.

These types of portraits are quite similar to the classic portraits of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, always following that impressionist style. For this portrait I did not use any reference, however I wanted to make a kind of self-portrait, mostly because I usually dress in a very similar way to what this small painting shows.

Viktor, es un viejo retrato que había intentado pintar hace mas de un año, muestra a un hombre cansado, tal vez un ex soldado, sentado junto a una ventana portando un pesado abrigo y una Ushanka de color negro cubriendo su cabeza, con una mirada profunda que denota bastante soledad.

Este tipo de retratos se asemejan bastante a los retratos clásicos de finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX, siempre siguiendo ese estilo impresionista. Para este retrato no use ninguna referencia, sin embargo quise hacer una especie de autorretrato, mas que todo por que suelo vestirme de forma muy similar a lo que muestra esta pequeña pintura.
