My presence on Hive has been a bit spotty over the past couple of years. Mainly because I was involved in a few projects and basically "had a job" :)
I have to tell you that it's so nice to come back here, though, and see familiar faces! Especially the ones I met in person in 2017 and 2018. Can't believe how much time has passed since then!
I also can't believe that Hive is still such an insider tip that hardly anyone out there knows about. I'm getting involved with a super early stage startup right now, which is still looking for a blockchain to build on, and all I can think is, "Hive! Build on Hive. It's got everything you need, including an existing community!" So let's see what happens...
The other thing I can't believe is that onboarding is still such a pain... But I guess that's the price we pay for decentralization. All the information you need to have a good onboarding experience just can't be found in one "central" location.
Anyway, I onboarded my friend @adventurousnerd recently, who is a professional writer and an experienced digital nomad. She didn't get around to start posting yet, but if travel hacks are of interest to you, do follow her, so you don't miss out.
While I was helping her getting on Hive, I got myself back on Hive as well :) It just made me realize how much money I leave on the table by NOT posting every day. And I had no idea about all the latest developments on our chain..
So I'm looking forward to diving back in again - time permitting - and seeing what all my Hive friends are up to these days :)
