Virtually no one in the sports world had thought that McGregor would have a chance (at all) against Floyd Mayweather. Experts such as Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard, Amir Khan and David Haye all explained how Conor would not hit Floyd with a single blow. Not one! Instead, he won the four first rounds and met Mayweather with landing blows on a regular basis. Something that, of course, has to be seen as a bit bizarre shock, given that the UFC fighter never had a boxing match ever before. Conor was amazing. However, he overreached, became tired and was dominated in round nine and ten before the match was over. But I'm pleased and above all impressed with McGregor's contribution afterwards. Very impressed.

Retiring with a record of 50-0. Epic indeed Mr.Mayweather.

Just as I am impressed with Conor's efforts, I am of course (generally speaking) very impressed by the fact that Mayweather is now retiring with 50-0 in his record. Of course it is completely macabre and although I have been bored out of most of Mayweather's right out tedious boxing matches lately, I must of course applaud his career and how he has practically carried the sport on his shoulders this last decade.
