Recently stumbled over this blog by Ben Sigman, analyzing data of the EOS blockchain, and the figures he present look rather promising:

According to these figures, there have been recently over 100k unique account transactions, which would signify a recent surge in usage, from the figures i had seen 2 weeks ante:

He uses a Hyperion tool provided by @EOSRio, unfortunately this tool is not available in public yet :-(
I'd love to compare figures!
