The Illinois river is a free-flowing river that has spectacular scenery, whitewater, and a healthy salmon population. Unfortunately, the dog in picture found one of these said salmon, wholly decayed and rotting, and ROLLED IN IT. The red jacket in the photo did not live through the experience. The dog almost didn't either.
