Introduction
(Aspergillus Fumigatus) is a ubiquitous filamentous fungus that is considered a major opportunistic human pathogen mainly infecting immune-suppressed patients causing invasive aspergillosis (IA), which results in high mortality in AIDS and organ transplant patients, diagnosis of aspergillosis relies on immunological assay for antibodies against Aspergillus antigens or the presence of antigens in the patient’s body fluid. A. fumigatus antigens may be proteinases. (Ibrahim-Granet & d’Enfert, 2013)Aspergillus Fumigatus is a specie of fungus that can be found anywhere in the environment. The versatile metabolism of this fungus meets distinct nutritional requirments under different environmental condition. This fungus is distributed more efficiently on the air, hence being airnborne. Aspergillus Fumigatus also causes aspergillosis which is an airborne disease. Patients who are undergoing cancer chemotherapy or undergoing organ transplant are more likely be infected by the fungus because its physiology can easily adapt to the host environment. (Kwon-Chung KJ, Sugui, 2013)Everyday we actually inhale spores of A. fumigatus, the spores are called conidia; immune cells found in the lungs destroy those spores as it enters the lungs. A.fumigatus can cause a wide range of infections, some including chronic lung diseases and whole body infections. (R, Drummond. 2016)
In this study, we will test the Antifungal Activity of Kamias against Aspergillus Fumigatus. The antifungal activity of certain plant species seem that almost all of them has not been explored much more yet, with the species of fungus being 100,000 in the environment alone and more than 100 of them can be an infectious agent to humans in their body. (Carandang, 2017) One of the main causes of morbidity are Infectious Diseases. These diseases such as Leptorpirosis, HIV/AIDS, and Ebola have been studied for a long time, but until now, some have no cure. One of the Infectious Diseases are Fungal infections. Fungal infections are caused by Fungus. This occurs when a fungus becomes immune and infects a part of the body. When a fungus becomes immune, it may be difficult to cure since the fungus can re-infect and survive on some environment. (Johnson, J. 2017) In the Philippines, surveillance and research about fungal infections have not been thoroughly done thus leading to fatal fungal diseases. (Batac, M.C.R and Denning, D. 2016)
These antioxidants of the plant additionally have different natural exercises, for example, hostile to cancer-causing, free radical scrounger, anti-atherosclerotic and mitigating, exercises. These exercises are identified with their cancer prevention agent limit. Phenolic mixes contribute clearly to antioxidative activity and they constitute the significant class of normal cancer prevention agents show in plants; along these lines, it is important to ascertain add up to phenolic content in plant species (Alamgir, et al, 2014)
Averrhoa bilimbi(Fam. Oxalidaceae), is a long tree and reaches 5-10 m in height, has a trunk that is short that soon divides into a number of branches. Leaves are mainly clustered at the branch tips, are alternate, imparipinnate; 30’60 cm long, with 11-37 alternate or sub opposite leaflets, ovate oroblong, with rounded base and a pointed tip; downy; medium-green on the upper surface, pale on the underside; 2-10 cm long, 1.2-1.25 cm wide. Fruit ellipsoid, obovoid or nearly cylindrical, faintly 5-sided, 4-10 cm long; capped by a thin, star-shaped calyx at the stem-end and tipped with 5 hair like floral remnants at the head. Crispy when unripe, the fruit turns from bright yellow to yellowish-green, nearly white when white and falls to the the ground. (Orwa et al.,2009)
