This painting is created specifically for the Ugly Art Challenge hosted by jnart@jnart . However, I am not sure if I am too late! I started working on it on Friday but my son was sick with asthma and mild pneumonia and I had to put it aside over the weekend. And I worked on it for several hours yesterday (Monday) and finished it at 1:00AM this morning. If I am too late then it's okay. Oh well.

For the contest, we are supposed to submit an art that is 'ugly'. So why do I think this painting is ugly? Firstly, this is my first attempt at creating multilayer stencil painting. I made several mistakes (not too obvious) and had to paint over some of the sections in black to cover those mistakes. Secondly, gray is not my favorite color because it's too muted and dull. Thirdly, I don't condone smoking and it's an ugly habit. A lot of people, youngsters mostly, think smoking is cool but it really is not. I grew up with smoker parents and I saw how this habit destroyed their health. I am not looking down on smokers but if you smoke I encourage you to quit.

Here are the process photos as proof of authenticity.
