Greetings from Winter Storm Bob! The newsies keep calling her Blair but if they can pull a name out of their ass, so can I. Therefore, her name is Bob.
Bob has gifted us with nine inches of snow so far, with a nice glazing of ice on top for slickerishness purposes. It's not over yet, there's still some freezing rain falling and we're looking at another 1-3 inches of snow in the morning before Bob leaves town.
Most snow this town's seen since the 90s, so I had to climb into my heaviest Carhartts and go see for myself. Plus I had a new 85mm prime to test out.
'Test it in the snowstorm' they said. 'It'll be fun' they said. Not sure how good of a test it was, most of the time the viewfinder was too full of snow for me to be able to see what I was doing. Still, it was a good bit of fun, although not as much as these two were having. There were a lot less people out but the ones who were about were clowning for the camera even more to make up for it.
Still not sure what they were doing but they were definitely having fun doing it. Seemed like a good portion of folks out on the roads were doing the same, just out fucking around in the snow. Or maybe they were just idiots, sometimes it's hard to tell.
'And here we see the snow jeep in its native offroad habitat.' Does it even count as a U-turn if you can't see the road and it's not U shaped?
See ya! And I did, just around the corner.
Snow is supposed to end around noon tomorrow, going to try and get back out there to shoot a bit more before it does. Until then, y'all stay warm.
