The funny thing is, the fairgrounds where the state fair takes place every year has its own amusement park, Kentucky Kingdom, and they set the fair rides up in the parking lots just outside the park itself. It was always a bit surreal to ride the Ferris wheel and see the much larger, permanent one just a few hundred yards away.
