Yesterday I used #wednesdaywalk as motivation to get me out of the house and shooting. Ended up meandering over to Tom Wallace Lake here in Louisville, largely in hopes of getting some nice reflections

It's Wednesday right? Went for a bit of a jaunt today and took a few (hundred) photos while I out wandering. Guess that makes this #wednesdaywalk time! Out on the edge of Louisville is what the great sage

Macro lenses are fun. They'd probably be even more fun if I knew what I was doing with one. Minor details... How many bad photos do you have to take before it counts the same as reading the instructions?

I meant to take it easy today. The bean water intervened and got me to editing it seems. Damn you caffeine! It's cold out. Not winter in the Rockies cold, just a dreary wet that wouldn't seem out of place

It's Friday and the weekend is nigh! Time to have me a whiskey breakfast and a cocaine lunch! Well, maybe not but it does sound like a hell of a way to start a weekend... A month from today will be the

I was going to go for a #wednesdaywalk today but I woke up with a headache and decided to pass on that and edit photos from last week's walk. Last week I headed down the highway to Berea, Kentucky to hike

#deadthings! In this case sunflowers I believe. This past weekend we managed to get out of the city for a bit and of course my camera came along for the ride. I posted some photos from this adventure already

Ever smoked a cigarette? If you did and it was an American brand, odds are good that you were smoking some Kentucky grown tobacco. Tobacco, or bakker as we called it where I grew up, has been grown here

How's everybody's weekend treating them so far? Been rather relaxed around these parts so far, but we've got a little adventure planned for later so that may change. So what's y'alls favorite way to spend

Got to spend a few hours in the woods yesterday, hiking and shooting outside Berea, Kentucky. We finally got a few hard frosts recently and the foliage has really started to show some color so I had to

Above the treeline is one of my favorite places to be. There's just something about it, like stepping into another world. A bit on the cool side if you ask me but the critters that call it home don't seem

Evander is serious about his Sundays. Seems to think taking it easy and sleeping all day is how Sundays are supposed to be... Tito is serious about his Sunday activities as well, he's 'helping'. He's quite

Hey Mark Zuckerberg, I Meta your mother last night! There's probably more egregious examples of putting lipstick on a pig but I can't think of one at the moment. Anybody making book on how long this lasts?

What fresh hell is this? La Niña, atmospheric rivers, what's next? And here I was just getting used to wildfires and drought... It's the end of the world as we know it and it's turning out to be quite

Ever notice how the news always seems to focus on the same people time and again? Over and over, it's the same VIPs and experts being quoted and interviewed. With as much time as they spend doing that

Why are cats so weird? Does anybody else have a cat with a voracious appetite for plastic and kale? Tito swears he's not looking down on you Is it just me or does humanity have an obsession with

My camera and I went for a bit of a hike yesterday, I'd intended to participate in the #wednesdaywalk but hadn't bothered to read the instructions first. Apparently the walk can be anytime but the post

It's something of a weird feeling to be out in the middle of nowhere, following a trail that consists mostly of piles of rocks intermittently stacked up. If I was a kid I would have had a field day

Not real sure what's going on here. I happened upon the sight above on the shores of Lake Jackson in Grand Teton National Park and still haven't quite figured out what to make of it. Are they cairns, meant

If you're ever driving on the 101 in northern Oregon and have a minute to spare, stop in Cannon Beach and go see Haystack Rock. It's an old sea stack and National Wildlife Refuge that's even been in a
