Lately it's seemed like life's been going full throttle, hundred miles an hour, in about sixteen different directions at once. Being busy isn't a bad thing, better than spending hours beating my head against the forever question of 'What should I shoot?' but sometimes you need a pit stop to refuel, pick the bugs out of your teeth and catch your breath.
Have been hyperfocused on the battle against data centers here lately, between that and getting my Substack up and running, it's been slightly overwhelming. Finally got a bit of a lull on the data center front after Metro Council passed a six month moratorium, decided a palate cleanser was in order.
What better for that than some roaring big blocks and the smell of half burnt petrol? Posted some photos from Street Rod Nationals a couple weeks back but never quite found the time to give any the black and white treatment.
Specifically saved this shot just for that, dude saw me lining up a shot and floored his black '67 Camaro, took this panning as he passed. His father-in-law was in another car on the other side of me, gave'em my contact info and was actually able to email him the photos last week.
Should have done a detail shot of the reflections in that hubcap but didn't even notice that until I got the shot into Photoshop. Heh, remember when it was Photoshop ruining photography instead of AI?
The car show had to clear out of the fairgrounds, but the Kentucky State Fair has taken its place. That runs for another week, should be back soon with some shots of that. Until then, y'all be sure to drive fast and take chances.
