Honestly I have not seen any giver who lack in life. The biblical principle concerning giving actually works for all, not only for Christians but to all who believe and apply those principles.
We commanded to give and it shall come back to Give, and it will be given to us. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into our laps. This conditional promise and it works for all who believe and obey.
However we are reminded to sow or give sparingly in order to reap sparingly and give bountifully in order to reap bountifully. Again it shouldn't be based on coersd but be done cheerfully without grudge.
But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
We are reminded of how much God loves a cheerful giver, someone who gives willingly out of his or her love for God and not just for giving sake.
God was the one who first gave out of his love for mankind. He gave something so precious and expensive, something that we couldn't afford in anyway.
He made His only bogotten son a sin offering so we could have salvation. God did all this out of love and nothing else.
He also wants us to give out of love. When we give cheerfully, God is able to make every blessing overflow for ou, so that in every situation we will always have all we need for any good work.
