Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, decided to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 2:18-25
Many are the plans in a man's heart but it is always the will of God that prevails the bible says. It doesn't matter how the enemy makes things become tougher for you he will not win for what God wills for you will prevail.
Herod tried harder to eliminate the Messiah when he was born. He did all he could but to no avail. Nobody can dare with God's agenda and that's why whatever He has said about you is definitely going to happen.
Praying that God's will prevail in our life is the best prayer we can pray. It is not just what we want but what God has for us. Joseph nearly gave up on Mary when she was found to be pregnant.
He thought of her to be promiscuous, a woman who don't deserve him. He accepted her back into his life after God had revealed His perfect will for mankind by sending the Messiah through Mary.
God went beyond what Joseph wanted and let His for humanity prevailed. Until we find out what God wills for our life we will be praying about the wrong things always.
Today pray not for what you will but what God wills for you. You can do this if you pray by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
