We are thrilled to share an update regarding the construction of the 14th borehole. This will be the final borehole of the year and is currently underway Wadie Adwumakese in the Ashanti Region. The Hive Boreholes have played a crucial role in providing potable water to communities facing water challenges, making it an impactful journey of empowerment.
Yesterday, we initiated the drilling of the borehole, signaling the beginning of the first phase of the three-phase project. Phase one involves land surveying, drilling, pump installation, water testing, and treatment. After conducting the land survey and engaging with the community, a plot of land situated close to the main street of the town was designated for the drilling.
It's a good place which is easily accessible and presumed by the community leaders to be the right place where majority of the residents would be able to access the borehole. Also in terms of the the project safe keeping, siting it within the town is also and at that particular location is best.
The big drilling rigs were employed for the drilling process, taking the drillers a few hours to complete their work. Now that drilling has been done, the remaining tasks, including flushing out dirt, pumping, and water testing, will follow. Once the driller is through with all the work in the first phase, the second phase, which encompasses most of the structural developments, will commence.
With work progressing well, we aim to ensure the entire project is completed within a two-week timeline, if all things remain favorable. The project work will end with the final phase, which is about the the launch and media publicity. Progress has been smooth during the initial phase, and both leaders and residents of the town have been receptive and hospitable to the Hive team and the workers. The Wadie Adwumakase community is eagerly anticipating the project's completion soon.
