We were saved by God not because we deserved to be saved and we found grace not because we deserved it or worked for it. This unmerited grace and favour from the Lord is what has made us who we are in Christ today.
We have nothing to boast and even if we are to boast it should be in Christ for we were once slaves and as sheep without a shephered. We were to be slaughtered but the Lamb of God was made a sin offering or atonement for our sins. He who knew no sin took our place and He is the reason we have been saved and assurance of salvation in the last day.
We stand uncondemned and we have the privileged to come before the father for more grace and mercies to help us in times of need. This is the best gift God has given to you and I who are in Christ Jesus.
We never paid a dime nor a pesewa to merit such a costly gift of salvation and grace. God also wants us ttherech out to the lost at all cost and preach the gospel about the kingdom of heaven, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.
We have been tasked to do so free of charge for we didn't pay anything to obtain our salvation neither did we to merit the call to be followers of Christ .
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:6-8
The situation in the church today is so pathetic. Preachers have now resorted to charging or demanding money from people before they minister to them.
They are those who have turned the house of God into a den of thieves. From the instructions of the Lord we received all freely and freely we must give. The church is not a market place neither is it a centre for money making where preachers should only be concerned about what to receive from the sheep before they help them.
Ministers of God would find it very difficult to pay God If God was to place demand on every gift He has given them. Freely we have received and freely we should give
