Due to bitterness, she developed a great hatred for the father. The story goes like this: The father worked for a manufacturing company for twenty years and had retired, spending his remaining his earnings to take care of his daughter who was his only hope in life.

He believed so much in education and that's the more reason he spent every cent to make sure his daughter becomes great in the future.

His colleague workers who had been with him in the same department, at the same level and earning the same salary have all made it big time and it was like the toll of life still places demand on his life.

The sad thing that could ever happen to a master is when an amateur begins to advise him because he failed ones.

The daughter saw all his fathers endeavors to be a wasted years. To retire home with nothing was a wasted life. After Graduating from university, she searched for job but to no avail. She applied for Job in a company and luckily for her she was among those shortlisted for the interview. With confidence and tenacity she knew she was the right applicant for the position as a branch manager and so there was no way she would be turned down.

Even her qualification as a first class student will speak on her behalf and so nothing to worry.

The shock of her life came when after the interview one of panel said "you did really good but having at least two years working experience would have been an advantage for you but we will see what we can do and will contact you if we need you" So discouraging and frustrating, she felt so bad. Just when she was about to get up and leave the room, one of the panelist inquired "You said your name is" asked the chief panelist.

I'm Deborah Asante Boachie, she answered. Your name sounds familiar, do you know a man by the name Evans Asante Boachie? He asked. Aaahmmm... my father's name is Evans Asante Boachie and I don't i know if he's the one you ask for... She answered but still confused.

Did he worked at Jays and Sons Manufacturing Company? asked the chief panelist. Yes please, that was about twenty five years ago.. she answered. Oh my God! small world, I can't believe I met his daughter today!. Is he still alive...asked the chief panelist. No he passed out a couple of years ago... she answered.

May His soul rest in peace, he was a very good man and saved my father's company from a big time loss. He of all the workers was the profoundest thinker and a was noble man and very sincere. He left the company because they framed him for something he did not do, but later on the truth came out and all critics were arrested and jailed, we looked for him everywhere and were told he had moved out of town, he has left a good name in our records as the man who saved the company from ending up bankrupt. I wished I had met him before he died because we owe him so much...the chief panelist narrated. Not even Deborah or the other panelist could resist their tears as the chief panelist narrated this sad story.

The story continues this way: Deborah became an automatic candidate for the Job, was made a branch manageress, given an apartment, a car and a good package for her father's contribution and a good name he left as a mark in the company's history.

LESSON: A GOOD NAME IS RATHER TO BE CHOSEN THAN RICHES

Source

A good name is more important than riches and it is to be chosen than anything else.

leave great wealth for the world and they will spend it will soon forget you and but leave a great name for the world and they will remember you always

To Debbie, her father was a failure because she never built any physical wealth, he just wasted his time building someone else's company and all he cared about was his integrity. What was seen as a wasted and disgusted lifestyle was what gave all the wealth she had dreamed and aspire to have in life. So friends lets mind the way we live today,....Let's choose a good name.
