The treasuries of earth in its multitude of substances count not equal to it. The angles of angelic color of stones that speckle the upper crust. The slow pulse of yellow veins spanning generations.
The eons of dark carbon spaces smoldering into star shards. The rich tapestry of a snowflakes hanging from branches. The vast ocean coaxed to lap at a minute universe of quartz. The aquatic cloud of scales under the blue that spin and shift in beautiful chaos. The Great beast of ivory and benevolent birds with all manner of patterns and pelt. The view of it all shared. The memories. The laughter and joy. The friendships. The lovers. Yet, with all it’s weight of riches, so much that it should not spin, it’s doesn’t hold the rarest substance. The rarest substance being Permanence. All love fades into death and joy disappears into fate. Winds change and sails will fall. They may be beautiful in their time but will never be forever.
