*I have been doing a lot of research on growing microgreens and have not started growing my own as of this time. But I can let you in on what I have found out so far.
There are different ways to plant your seeds for your microgreens. You can use soil or coconut mats. Both ways use a shallow container to grow your microgreens.
Not all seeds are safe to use as microgreens. You want to use organic or untreated seeds.
From listening and reading about growing microgreens it is best when starting out to just try a small amout of a cheaper seed. They say start with radish seeds or a vegetable you like first. You will need the seeds you want to plant,a tray or small container, potting soil,a misting spray bottle and a plastic bag with holes snipped in it .
You want to put your soil in what ever tray or pan your using to growyour microgreens in. Water the soil and sprinkle your seeds on top. Then pat down with your hand. Place the plastic bag with the snips in over the planting container and close it. This will act as a mini green house. You use the spray bottle on the mist setting to do your watering. Water once a day but do not soak the seeds. You want to cut the plants above the soil when it gets 2 inches high or the first 2 leaves appear.
