I left a review for a USB-C dongle that, amongst other issues, heated up hot enough to cook an egg (It actually burned my finger slightly when I went to remove it once). This is the font-facing response from the seller, paraphrased:
> We are sorry you did not like your product, but it was operating at normal temperature ~150º F. If you wish, we can offer you a full refund.
One thing to note, 150º F is indeed a temperature you can cook eggs at. When I responded for a refund, the response I got back was:
> Please confirm you removed your 1-star review and we will refund your purchase. Additionally, once you've removed your review, we will send a discount coupon for [another product] that can be used within the next couple of months.
Instead, I updated my review to reflect the "customer service" I received.
