Waking up!

From a very young age, I was told to follow everything I was told. Not to question anything.
I followed until I fell.
Then, I woke up to the "real world".
How did this happen?
I was forced into it.
We have a choice in this life that will get us to either one of two places.
Into the regular 9 - 5 grind, or into real freedom.
This freedom though has risks. And one of those risks is death.
Yes, freedom has a cost.
If you wish to buck the system, you will need to sacrifice. That was not something I was prepared to do when I first found out about what is really going on. I woke to the reality that I might have to lose my life so my family, or future children are able to have true freedom.
Now, I am not talking about going to war. Not with another country, anyway. But war with core beliefs.
I was Mormon, then Jehovah Witness. I got thrown in jail for being stupid and hurting someone I cared about.
10 years later, I got out. But I was not the same person. I had a changed mind. I saw the "light" so to speak.
Even though I hurt that person, I knew that it was my old self. Not this new person who understood life.
Did I have all the answers? I thought I did before I went it, but I was much more informed after.
Now I am roving around teaching folks how to wake up from their slumber, as I did several years ago.
Things are new, but at times the old comes back to try and keep me down. I have to kick it off and continue.
That is all we can do.
