For a long time, I believed that I was not able to overcome the sin that so easily held me back. I followed the pastor who said I would always sin, and because that was the way it would be, I would always need to ask for forgiveness.
It wasn't until 11 years ago that my mind changed. There are several scriptures that prove we are able to overcome, in our lifetime. And the way to overcome is to follow the example of the savior.
A few posts ago, I told the story of the resurrection. Death, burial, and resurrection. That is baptism. And what is baptism? Is it an outward expression of an inward commitment? Yes, but that is not all. Baptism identifies those of us with the resurrected messiah. We are now the children of YAHVAH.
