Google "InStep Robin" and you will see that it is a two seat child riding bike trailer.
So why am I converting THAT into a tiny house? Because I am going to modify it...beyond belief!
First, it holds up to 90 lbs, (40 kg) and will need to hold around 600 lbs, (272 kg). How will I do this?
It will not be easy, but it needs to be done. I need to extend the wheel base, and then strengthen the axle. Then I will need to add a second set of wheels and axle. This makes the trailer able to carry a lot more weight. I will need a solid steel frame and that is not going to be cheap.
The frame is not strong enough to hold more than 90 right now. I will need to take the entire frame off and have a whole new one fabricated. That is going to be around $250, or more.
Then I will need to widen the existing frame from, whatever it is now, to 7 feet.
Ladies and gents, this is going to be a task, and one that will take some time. I have never done this sort of thing, and hope I can get a good idea online.
Thanks for all of those who keep with me through these hard times of mind.
You are ALL awesome.
Have a great day!
