In the last 6 months, most of the people I talk is more keen on buying the EV vehicle then the petrol vehicle. And I am starting to see more and more EV vehicle in the road. The thing is with the war going on the middle east, the oil prices set to rise and thus EV vehicle would be convenient for the people.

In Bangalore, the government has given 200 Units of free electricity whoever has opted for it. That's why people are optiing for the EV vehicle because then the running costs decreases. When you buy a petrol vehicle, you have to continue filling the petrol to run it. But when you have the EV vehicle you can use the free electricity from the home and run the EV vehicle.
The cost of the vehicle is almost the same for both the Petrol vs EV and that's why people see what is the maintainace cost of the vehicle. And that's why having the EV is better option than the petrol vehicle. The problem is only the range. Using Petrol vehicle you can go to a far place by continuing filling up the petrol. But for the EV vehicle you have to put the charge and it can go to some distance before charging again.
And that's one of the reason, people are not opting for the EV vehicle who wanted to go for long distance. And that's why they use for the short distance city trip. And that's why most of my collegueas have started taking the EV vehicle mostly for the office trip.
