I had a discussion with some of my friends who have stopped buying crypto or stopped trading at all. This is because they feel that paying the 30% tax to government is not worth it and also there are a lot of problems while filing for the crypto tax. And they have started doing the Indian Equity instead. I have advised him to go with P2P as lot of people want to buy crypto whereas there are people who will be selling it.

The only problem I see is that as of now if you have to to P2P you have to go via exchange, there are other places too but they are not that streamlined or trustworthy. Even if they are trustworthy the amount of crypto exchange is lower. So yeah even if the p2p is there it will not be a full fledged solution because of so many problems. But yeah for a small transactions and if the buyer and seller are trust worthy, then going through the p2p is the best solution.
Like in my case, I have sold some of my crypto in last few months using the p2p route itself through the IndiaUnited Discord. Since it was a trustworthy group, we trust each other so that we can carry on the transactions. Also yeah sometimes the buyers are not available and because of that it is hard time to sell in p2p if you need money.
If someone doesn't want to trade in local currency then they can use the other option which is little expensive, like sell crypto and get money using PayPal or Wire. I said expensive because you have to pay some taxes there, but the good thing is you don't have to pay hefty taxes like crypto tax in India.
