None of the Investment is Safe if Not Checked Regularly

There was a sharp market fall yesterday because of a panic sell and the market seems to be recovering today. Yesterday post 2:30 PM the market started falling, which is not uncommon and happens sometimes. It might have been triggered by the news of the Russian/Ukraine war or might be because of other falling markets but whatever is the case market in the last hour fall substantially.

Similarly, we see the Netflix stock is down by 25% as Netflix reports a drop in subscribers for the first time in 10 years. This happened also because of the Russia-Ukrain war because Netflix has suspended their services in both countries and lost a substantial amount of users there.

But I don't think that only because of that news the stock has reduced the price. If we see the last one year chart it is down by 36%, which means once considered as a Blue Chip stock is down substantially by its 52 weeks high.

Now think about people who might have invested in this stock thinking about the long term and did not check the price regularly, they might have lost substantially because their portfolio might be down by 36%. So in the stock market, none of the investments is safe even if you invest in the best of the blue-chip if it is not checked regularly. This has also shown that some of the stocks when the news badly affects them can become more volatile than crypto.

As I was saying there are numerous examples in the market where the stocks once considered the best bet now have fallen down on their knees. Like in Indian Market, Yes Bank, BHFL, Reliance Power and many more are actually considered blue-chip once upon a time but again either with the mismanagement from the company side or for any unknown reason these companies' share has gone down even 100%.

Retail investors like us become the puppet of the stock market who never checks the market thinking that the blue-chip stocks never go down or it is safest of the investment. Even if you have invested in the Blue Chip stocks you have to check the prices and exit the stocks as soon as possible.
