I have been investing in equity mainly through Mutual Funds and just 5% of my capital I invest in direct stocks. But what I have seen is that investing through Mutual Funds is a slow but steady process which is actually good in my case. I have been a traditional investor in all my life and investing in less risky assets.
But the need of investing in stocks should not be ignored as it has the potential of giving good returns if invested in nice socks. So I am thinking of investing in SmallCase which is like a mutual fund but mainly indirect stocks through SmallCases.

For example, there is All Weather Investing which is the minimum investment amount where you have to invest just Rs 4000. This small case invests in equity, debt and gold and is rebalanced periodically to generate relatively higher returns. This is good for people who have just started the investment through the small case to know how it works and it is free.
There are some small case portfolios that charge you around Rs 600 per month but the returns are really good like 30% CAGR which is quite good.
There are small cases that have given quite a good return in the past like the IT tracker which is free yet the minimum investment amount is Rs. 78000 which is quite a big amount to start with.

Personally, I really like the small cases because this helps in not doing the research and investing and it can help you invest in ideas and you can invest based on your risk profile. I am thinking of creating a high-risk portfolio with the SmallCase so that it can give me good returns and even if it goes down it doesn't matter much.
I am also interested in goal-based investing which is getting started in SmallCase were investing in this will ensure that you can fulfil them as and when the time comes for the same. They have the target-year small case which are baskets of various asset classes so that they can optimize the risk for the goals. And these small cases are rebalanced every year so that it keeps adjusting with the time period based on the time horizon of the goals.
For example, for my retirement, I am thinking of using the Horizon 2045 and thus can help me to achieve that goal.
