After covid people want to travel around the world as much as possible and this has given the free hand to the owners of hotels as well as other people related to travel industry to increase the prices of everything. Like I was searching for the cheapest hotel in a city and the one which I am getting is above Rs 1K. But previously it was around Rs 500 to Rs 700 that means around 50 to 100% rise in just hotel fare.
Similarly if I check the fares of cab and other things, they also have increased the price that means the minimum amount to travel has increased like anything. I know the last 2 years wouldn't have a great source of earning for the people in the travel industry but still increasing the price to 100% is not that great to be honest. This has actually filtered a lot of people to eventually skip the travel at all.
Now this is just the contradiction of what I have just said. People wants to travel more after covid but with travel prices soaring people tend to not travel at all. Now what this has done is people will travel but it will be for some off beat places or the places which are nearer to them. Like the places where we can go and come back in a day or mostly 2 days. But whatever is the case people who have the money, they will surely travel.
Now travel is the stress buster for a lot of people so people having even some money will travel. And thus what it does is that it will end up having less money in people's pocket at the end of the month. That means less investment. Some might argue that travel experiences is much bigger and better than the investment, that's true to some extent for sure. But investment is investment and that should be the priority and next is the travel experiences.
