Hospital inflation is real where the amount of money spend on Hospital expenses increases by steep price every year. Now this we know and because of that we have health insurance as well as we keep some emergency fund so that it can be useful in cases like these.

But the main problem arises when you visit any Hospital and you spent a lot. This is mainly after the doctor ask you do so many tests, be on emergency ward, go to icu and ask you to stay in Hospital for some days. I know the insurance can cover it, but there are a lot of people who do not have the insurance and thus they have to pay a hefty amount because of this expenses.
I have been in the hospital for a relative and I have seen how the doctors are moving a patient from on place to another place. And also doing numerous tests to find out what exactly is the problem. I know it is part of their duty to actually find out the root cause and how to fix the problem. But doing a lot of them just for the sake of increasing the total bill amount should not be the case.
Patients come to the hospital to actually get cured which is out of their control but that doesn't mean the hospitals will charge a hefty amount because of that. I can understand about the critical patients who need constant monitoring and other things, but the hospital charges a lot of money from everyone.
And as a patients relative, you do not have any option other than saying yes for all the things which the doctors are asking. Like yes to change from ward to ICU, yes to give consent, yes for everything. Because as a relative of the patient, you want them getting recovered and not think about the money much and because of that these hospitals take advantage of charging exorbitant amount.
