Be it a Stock Market or a Crypto market, you will get to learn a lot of things. The main thing about learning is that, we get to learn whenever a new things comes in front of us. So in Market every day is the new day where whetever the market does is something new to us and thus how we behave at that moment is the learning opportunity for the future.

Now for example if you are doing a trade today and if doesn't go well then you get to learn what exactly is wrong on that trade and how you can do better next time. But next time it can happen that you never get to experience the same thing because market doesn't behave like past.
For long term investors, they can keep adding the money when the market is down so for them nothing changes much and there is no much learning too. The learning comes when you are in the market everyday tring to do day trading, options or other things. I am not saying that if you are an investor for long term there is no learning opportunity but it is less than people who are always in front of the market.
How you apply your learnings everyday decode if you will succeed or you will just lose more and more money in the stock market. That's why they say that in trading experience matters because then you can decide based on your learnings what can be the next move. I know it can be right or wrong but most of the time it will be decided based on the experience or the learning you have got from your past trades.
So of you are a trader then there is a learning opportunity everyday. And thus even if you are not doing trading just by market movements you are learning something or the other.
