From the last 2 years I have been hearing almost everyone talk about the EV and how it will benefit people as wel as the environment. But when it comes for buying, no one is ready for buying it. If I talk about two wheelers, then I am seeing increasing number of electric two wheelers here.

This is mainly because two wheelers are mostly use by people for office or local stuff so for them it is convenient. Along with that the price of a electric two wheeler is almost teh same as that of normal two wheelers so people are really taking up.
But when it comes for 4 wheelers people are mainly hesitant in taking electric vehicle. This is because the technology is still in the early phases and also the infrastructure. For example, if a guy has to go 500kms from one place to another, he has to charge once in between if he doesn't have the range. And that is the scary part because not all petrol pumps have the charging station and the charging takes time too.
So it's not only about the saving money part it is also about comfort. People doesn't buy car only for cities, they buy so that they can go out on weekends or for a long trip. And EV vehicles is not meant for thar yet. I am not saying that we should not take it, but again if you have the money take a one which has a higher range or wait till the infrastructure becomes better. Once the infrastructure becomes better, the EV vehicle can be taken for long rides as the charging station will be everywhere.
So yeah, I still feel thar EV vehicle is on early stages and it takes a lot of new players and investment as well as technology advancement to become better at it. Till that time at least in India it's better to stay away from EV 4 wheelers.
