Today I went to DMart to buy some groceries for the month. I usually go every month at the start of the month and get almost everything which I require for the month. Then the vegetables or other things I get it from the nearby shops. Now If I compare the price of the local shop and Dmart, I usually save around 10 to 15% when I buy it from the Dmart.

Now when you buy the groceries in bulk you can save huge amount. I know sometimes it backfires too. When we go to the super market we tend to buy something which is not required at all and that's the extra cost. But what we usually fo is we keep the list with us and along with that we try to buy something which is new and exiting. I know this is an extra cost but again it's better to try something new always.
Some people do argue that we usually buy some online stores and they give 10% discount. I have compared the prices of 2 to 3 online stores as well as the DMart. For some things online gives us discount, but most of the items it is always the DMArt whicb gives us the maximum discount. So even after that 10% discount online the price of the online groceries is more than what we buy in the stores. The other thing is time, we usually spend 2 to 3 hours in the super market and along with that we walk a lot and that's help too.
So yeah buying bulk is actually save you more money. Again there is 2 things buying the big items as well as buying a lot of items. Like 1 Kg is always cheaper than 500 gms. So we do the calculation there also to find out which will help us to save more money.
