I was actually trying to find out whether Bittrex will be supporting the SOLO airdrop or not and just search for Bittrex to get the latest news on the same. As you can see from the below image there was an advertisement which is shown having the keyword as Bittrex but the site doesn't look legit.
Now, this can be easily done by buying the Google advertisement on the keywords and showing your website on the top, and people who actually do not pay much attention to this are actually falling for this scam. I have not clicked the link and I am not sure what is on the website, but just by going through the link itself, you would know that it is actually not Bittrex and some website created on Blogspot.
This can be a Scam site or not, I do not know but I know that we should be extra careful while dealing with anything on the internet because we never know which can be a scam website. If by chance someone has created a clone of Bittrex and asked for the same credentials as Bittrex, it will be easier for the scammer to just take the authentication details from you and log in to your account and take your money out.
We are seeing a lot of SCAMs happening especially in the crypto space because people want to get rich and also keep their guard down to privacy. Sometimes people are lured for greater returns and in return, they are getting scammed. So if you are in crypto or not, we should always double check on whatever we are clicking either on Google or even on Discord.
I get these kinds of links everyday from the unknown discord memebers and stay myself safe by not clicking on these links. Though Free trial looks lucrative but again who knows if it is again a scam or not.
So we should be extra careful on whatever we click online.
