The confidence that comes with having someone always turn up for you in times of need can not be overemphasized. Life is crazy difficult but as long as you have just one person to sail through it together everything will definitely fall in place.
I remember having a friend who lost his dad back when we were just 17. As his friends we went together for a condolence visit and check up on him. On getting, there the whole atmosphere was completely depressing and we even lost in the crowd. Still confused on what to do, the craziest guy amongst us just asked "what killed him?" And the moment he just responded that he was coughing all through the night, the crazy boy told him that it was too much cigarettes that killed his father and everybody started laughing including our mourning friend because we all knew the man was a hardcore smoker. For the rest of the day, we all threw jokes about himself and how funny the dad was until the sympathizers thought we were crazy because we were all laughing hard while everyone was crying.
When we got home this guy made a group call and thanked us for coming because our jokes actually made today tolerable. He even begged us to come around again the next day which we did. Till this very day we still talk about that day and laugh about everything. That is the beauty of friendship 😍
