For Knitting Beginners
This is a great quick project that you can use every day!
The specific skills required are casting on, knitting a bunch of stitches, and casting off.
I made this because my phone is a nudist at home. The Nexus 6P has an aluminum body and I really love the feel of it, but it's kinda fragile. Also, my case gets in the way of the headphone jack because it's super thick.
Some Instructions
- Cast on enough stitches appropriate for the length of your phone. In my case, for a Nexus 6P (Moto G pictured because I take pictures with my 6P) I did 22 stitches. It actually turned out a great height for the Moto G. If you have a larger phone, go for 28 or so.
- Knit until you reach the desired width. A little bit of overhand looks nice, I think
- Cast off! Tidy up the loose ends.
Tada! Cozy phone coaster! The nudist in your pocket will appreciate it.
