It is a Venezuelan reggae band formed in 2007 in Caracas. It is integrated by Alberto «Beto» Montenegro (Voice, guitar), Antonio «Tony» Casas (Bass, choirs), Andrés «Fofo» Story (Drums, choirs) and Alejandro «Abeja» Abeijón (Guitar, choirs). Rawayana's band is founded by Alberto Montenegro and Tony Casas Jr., in 2007 in Caracas, Venezuela. Those who after playing together for a season decide to incorporate the guitarist Alejandro Abeijón and the drummer Rodrigo Michelangeli. Already by mid-2009, under the Management and Booking of World Musical Madness, the group begins to perform in different venues of the Venezuelan capital, at which point they decide to add as percussionist to Toño Casas Sr. father of the bassist and Andres Story (Percussion higher). A few months later, Rawayana is selected from hundreds of bands nationwide to perform at the New Bands Festival 2010. This recognition leads them to share stage with artists such as Viniloversus, La Vida Boheme, Los Mesoneros, Melendi, El Cuarteto de Nos, Los Mentas, Onechot, among many others.
In 2011 he released his first album called License To Be Free with which he had a showcase driven by the beach brand Quiksilver and the Peer Music label. This event took place at the Hard Rock Cafe Caracas, attended by more than a thousand people, they are known for their video clip Fire Blue directed by Rodrigo Michelangeli and Johan Verhook which had great acceptance within the Venezuelan public, as well as the songs , «Little Miss», «Algo Distinto» and «Gatos Oliva» which make him receive four awards at the Pepsi Awards of Venezuela: Best Reggae Artist of the Year, Best Reggae Song of the Year with «Algo Distinto», Best Reggae Video of the Year Year and Best Reggae Record of the Year.
In May of 2013, Rawayana released his second album called Rawayanaland via YouTube, and later on he would perform physically. In the album collaborations are appreciated as those of José Luis Pardo (Dj Afro) (guitarist of the Invisible Friends), Natalia Lafourcade and MC Klopedia. His first single is Ay Ay Ay, the video of this song was directed by his former drummer Rodrigo Michelangeli. His second single is Hoy, Tema that has collaborations of Ramses (MCklopedia) and Psyco member of 4th Power
On October 7, 2016, Rawayana releases her third album titled "Trippy Caribbean". His song "High" with collaboration from Apache, came to be recognized by several countries in America and currently has 15 million views on YouTube. This album brought them international recognition, and they toured North America in March (Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Miami, Orlando) and Europe in May (Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London) in 2017, besides of dates in countries already visited such as Colombia (including the Picnic Stereo Festival), Argentina, El Salvador, Panama, Puerto Rico.

La banda de Rawayana Es Fundada por Alberto Montenegro y Tony Casas Jr., en el 2007 en Caracas, Venezuela. Quienes luego de tocar juntos por una temporada deciden incorporar al guitarrista Alejandro Abeijón y al baterista Rodrigo Michelangeli. Ya para mitad del 2009, bajo el Management y Booking de World Musical Madness, la agrupación comienza a presentarse en distintos locales de la capital venezolana, momento en el que deciden agregar como percusionista a Toño Casas Sr. padre del bajista y Andres Story (Percusión mayor). Unos pocos meses después, Rawayana es seleccionada entre cientos de bandas a nivel nacional para presentarse en el Festival Nuevas Bandas 2010. Este reconocimiento los lleva a compartir tarima con artistas como Viniloversus, La Vida Boheme, Los Mesoneros, Melendi, El Cuarteto de Nos, Los Mentas, Onechot, entre muchos otros.
En 2011 lanza su primer trabajo discográfico llamado Licencia Para Ser Libre con la que contó con un showcase impulsado por la marca playera Quiksilver y el sello Peer Music. Este evento tomo lugar en el Hard Rock Café Caracas, asistiendo más de mil personas, se dan a conocer por su video clip Fuego Azul dirigido por Rodrigo Michelangeli y Johan Verhook el cual contó con gran aceptación dentro del público venezolano, al igual que las canciones, «Falta Poco», «Algo Distinto» y «Gatos Oliva» los cuales le hacen recibir cuatro galardones en los Pepsi Awards de Venezuela: Mejor Artista Reggae del Año, Mejor Canción Reggae del Año con «Algo Distinto», Mejor video Reggae del Año y Mejor Disco Reggae del Año.
En mayo del 2013, Rawayana sacó su segundo trabajo discográfico llamado Rawayanaland vía YouTube, y tiempo después se presentaría en físico. En el álbum se aprecian colaboraciones como las de José Luis Pardo (Dj Afro) (guitarrista de Los Amigos Invisibles), Natalia Lafourcade y MC Klopedia.
