:: It’s summer in Chicagoooooo. [You have to say it like #Oprah, lol]. I’ve really been picking up the pace on my running regiment and damn near 2-piece ready. But this is so not what this post is about...#whompwhomp. But on a side note, me and one of my unicorns hit our favorite beach yesterday and I’m pleased with my pics thus far.

This post is about last Saturday when I participated in an amazing panel discussion about blockchain at the Women In Tech Summit Midwest sponsored by #TechGirlz at 1871.

You know what was amazing. We didn’t talk about men. Not a single serving of man tears.

While it is true there are many men involved in blockchain and the technology is rapid beyond crypto but it’s so rapid that there just isn’t time to tarry long talk on “why” women aren’t all up in the space. So glad we didn’t talk about that. We talked about what we Women (the panelists) are doing in or with blockchain and what other Women are doing in or with blockchain. And that was refreshing. [But don’t get it twisted —you will get checked if you still hold on to your centralized ‘isms.]

Look, it’s no longer enough to commiserate. Don’t just do something...just fix it. And that’s part of the reasons why I’m in blockchain —reduce information poverty and increase civic engagement with code-a-thons and other community engagements.

But hey, what do I know; I’m just a Librarian 🤷🏿‍♀️ #TMBC05282018
