One of the best things we started doing years ago was sign up for our local CSA programs. We’ve used CSA’s for 5 years now and it’s been the best choice we’ve ever had for food. Lots of delicious, fresh and in-season food that’s not radiated and we pick it up. We froze food last year that we are just finishing up now. Granted we still buy fresh food to supplement in the off seasons but we’ve been making soups and various things for dinner since November and just now have we gotten down to the single digits of our frozen meal bags. I’m hopeful that we can expand the use of CSA programs immensely to fight this insanity. I know we’ve gotten a few of our friends into them and it’s been wonderful for them and the farms.
