I for sure think that sometimes we walk right into the self fulfilling prophecies. I would like to think it's the nature of doom and gloom that is in vogue these days but the news has always done this. Newspapers, news stations and now the 24/7 digital news cycle sells off the doom and gloom of the world. Sadly, the attention of people is far more easily drawn to a disaster story than it is an overwhelming success.

It's one of the most annoying aspects of human nature!
