I think this is the pendulum in action. The dominoes for what we are experiencing have been set up and falling for decades. Laws that were passed during the Bush era and the Obama era are being used now, meaning this has been a chip-chip-chipping away over a long period of time. I can't recall specifically which ones at the moment but some of the ones that he has employed were passed in 2014. The erosion of the republic has accelerated, but certainly not solely by his efforts.

I take the stance of Catherine Fitts in this regard - the breakaway civilization notion. The people at the tops of the power structures, the Mitch McConnels of the blob that is the government, and many that we have no idea who they are, are largely immune to the negative effects of this whole thing and are becoming increasingly bold.

Her opinion, which I thoroughly agree with, is that Biden was too slow, Kamala would have been just as slow but Trump gets things done by nature exceedingly quick and aggressive. This is likely a coordinated attack on the foundation of the republic, which I hope we can recover from.

Opening the flood gates of millions of illegal immigrants certainly doesn't help. Adding a vast quantity of people to an already unstable system seems more coordination than it does accidental, though by whom it is difficult to say.
