Today I wanted to appreciate that my curation rewards have now surpassed my author rewards!
Curation Passes Author Rewards
Sometimes the things we do and write as amateur bloggers might not really go over too well. I guess that's been the case for me the past month!
Being here on the Hive blockchain, there are a large number of benefits that we can enjoy that's for sure. One of the major benefits is being able to be financially rewarded for content, be it comments, posts or voting. That's definitely going to be the way of the future for many parts of the internet as the tokenized experience continues to grow and thrive. One of the great opportunities is to be able to spend time and money to grow our accounts base unit, Hive Power.
In growing my Hive Power as steadily as I have been able to over the past 4 years being on here, I've really been able to unlock an additional layer of rewards that I barely thought possible: earning more per day/week/month in curation rewards than post/comment/author rewards are able to generate for me!
Now I know that things aren't as good as I would like them to be, it would be great to always earn more in author versus post rewards but the stuff ebbs and flows that's for sure. One of the things that is apparent is that I am in an ebb stage it seems which is fine. I've got a lot going on personally, trying to move to an entirely new state so I don't have as much time to dedicate to the things I enjoy doing on Hive. The amazing thing about Hive and this concept though is that I'm able to earn throughout the day!
For having a decent sized stake at 20k Hive Power and growing, being able to earn 4 Hive per day roughly on average in curation is incredible! I don't value it in USD like many people would do because at the moment I know things are fluctuating quite a bit and I also don't plan on selling anything for a while. I will play the markets internally if prices moon or crash but I certainly won't be sending any Hive off to the exchanges. I haven't done that except for once, to see what the process was like and it was only 10 Hive, so nothing to shake a stick at.
I feel blessed to be able to do the things I can on the Hive blockchain here and even though things are busy with life and I haven't been able to put out some of the content that I've got planned, I think it's great to be able to still earn some rewards and keep the account growing even while I am occupied with other things.
