What’s the quickest way to refresh a CV photo without a studio?

Running into a last-minute deadline here: I’ve got an application to send tonight, and my current resume photo screams “old vacation selfie.” No time to visit a studio, and my apartment lighting isn’t exactly flattering. I can take a few quick phone shots, but I don’t want them to look cheap or overfiltered. Has anyone managed to refresh a CV photo fast, using just a smartphone and minimal setup, without it looking obviously DIY?
