There would be a lot to talk about how the current witness system on Hive could be improved and the fact it offers so little incentive for the average pleb to make an effort and cast his measly and unimportant vote. Casting votes on witnesses is boring and it's not satisfying unless your voting for one of your buddies and you have a huge stake. But there is a small exception to the rule which is earn.hive that gives a very small trickle of 0.001 Hive per day as a reward for voting them as witness. In a year that would be little over a third of one Hive token which is still peanuts but I feel it's at least a good step in a much needed direction. Imagine receiving 30 times that, for the maximum number of votes an account can cast, which would amount to almost 11 Hive ( 0.365 x 30 = 10.95 ) and that is at least something, especially for new people.
I'm not saying this would solve all the problems on the blockchain, cure cancer and lead humanity into a new golden age. But it would at least spice up a topic that is among the most dull and least engaging on the Hive blockchain.
If you're wondering why I identify with the dude tied to the car in my meme ( which is from the movie Mad Max: Fury Road ), it's because I often feel caught in the grind to get ahead both in crypto and in real life, all while interesting stuff happens all around. There you go, free meme-xplanation, you're welcome :)
