Not the usual type of games I play, but this one was sitting in my library for quite some time, I think I got it with a promotion or bundle but I never try it before. Actually I only knew it was a 2D game.
I gotta the graphics of this this game are impressive. The background forest looks like it was painted by hand, as well as the columns.
The music and sounds complete the fairy tale atmosphere, but the characters are the most important thing, except for that "firefly" that looks to me like and onion, and most of them are speaking in rhymes.
But the thing that surprised me the most, it was the combat, I expected something like Ori and the blind forest, but his is actually a tactical fighting game. You must use your abilities and the environment to destroy up to 3 enemies. Every enemy on the map opens one fight of this kind. You can avoid a fight, but at last you can't advance too much in the game, so you gotta chose your fights one by one to gather experience for skills.
The most of this game is decision making about what battles do you chose to fight and at what moment, cause if you wanna advance easier, you must take every fight to upgrade yours and your companion's skills as you encounter new enemies.
